Family support is incredibly important for any recovery journey. Having family support can greatly improve chances of recovery for someone struggling with gambling addiction, but it can be hard to support someone who has strained family relationships through their problem gambling.
We understand the deep-rooted effects of gambling addiction that extend beyond the individual, touching every family member. Our Family Coaching Program is crafted to not only offer support to families navigating the recovery process but also to involve them meaningfully, recognizing their crucial role in the healing journey.

It is estimated that within the United States, up to 20 million citizens are struggling with a gambling addiction directly. It's also noted that each person with a gambling problem will directly impact 4 other people on average.

At the intersection of Problem Gambling & Personal Finance, GamFin provides financial counseling, training, and an online community to support Problem Gambling treatment. Join our GamFin counseling sessions to help
GamFin sessions are free of cost to all Algamus Alumni.
Join a community of men and women who are also struggling with compulsive gambling, where you can share your experiences with each other in a safe space with the common goal of continuing to abstain from gambling. A 12-step recovery program encourages the gambler to take responsibility for their actions so that they can move forward in life without gambling. Anyone with a desire to stop gambling can attend a 12-Step Support Group meeting at no cost.
At Algamus, we have an ongoing weekly Gambler's Anonymous-style 12-Step Recovery meeting for our Alumni. This meeting is open to all Alumni with the goal of bringing people together to help support each other in recovery.

One hour, once a week, connect with your fellow Algamus Alumni to share your struggles, your wins, learn new strategies from each other, find motivation and increase accountability to each other. Our weekly Alumni Recovery Coaching is a fantastic way to network and meet others who are facing challenges similar to your own. You can make new friends and help others on their journey as well. This is a peer-led call and there will be an Algamus counselor on the call to help moderate and guide the conversation if needed.
